  During the First
Cold War, Columbia produced quite a number of outstanding recordings of Russian and Soviet music. Now, these recordings
featured predominantly American artists, conductors and orchestras performing the music of "the other side" ... and
this, to my mind, is a remarkable thing in retrospect - whether it was actually intended as a "peace and understanding
strategy" or not; and especially considering the practices to achieve the complete opposite of "peace and understanding"
now being employed during the Second Cold War. 
  
  Transfers of some of these LP's were uploaded previously.
In the meantime, other LP's have been acquired. All transfers included are new. So - here's to Peace and Understanding
Through Playing (and listening to) the Music of the Other Side.
